Farm Manager.



Plan finances and production of Crops, and maintain farm progress against budgeted and parameters as per company goals and targets.

• Overlook and arrange maintenance and repair of farm buildings, machinery and equipment and obtain farm inventory.

• Participate in technical aspect of the hiring and evaluating candidates of Farm Operation team along with Human resources Department.

• Maintain and monitor quality of yields.

• Study and react based on implications of weather and prepare contingency plans.

• Ensure products are ready for deadlines for auctions and markets.

• Ensure farm activities comply with company policy and government regulations.

• Monitor and manage animal health and welfare if any.

• Monitor and record all yields and land use to meet company goals and objectives.

• Protect environment and maintain biodiversity.

• Direct and plan activities of farmers in term of plant,

• Maintain well the quality the crops production.

• Implement techniques of plantation, cultivation, and irrigation and harvesting of crops.

• Implement techniques of fertilization, herbicides, and pesticides as international standard method and environmental friendly.

• Demonstrates and explains farm work techniques and safety regulations and SOP to Farm head Section.

• Prepare budget in conjunction with yield of each field, to operate the farm for each cropping period.

• Responsible in a different array of tasks which include leadership of people, organizational structuring, human relations, training, work planning, work simplification and methods for improvement.

• To develop performance standards as a measurement to increase quality and quantity of service to meet company expectations. And to monitor on a daily basis the performance of all units he is responsible for and to ensure they are operating within Divisional guidelines.

• Monitor and assess the performance of his Workshop Foreman and Supervisors, and all staff providing guidance and support to ensure that they and their unit achieve their key performance level.

• Coordinates with his Workshop Foreman and Supervisors on personnel leave/vacation and manpower allocation to ensure an adequate supply in the site at all times.

• To keep the Engineering Manager and Regional Maintenance sectors informed at all times of relevant information regarding farm operation within his area of responsibility.

• To assist in the yearly preparation and allocation of the capital budget with the Manager for the approval of Farming Managing Director (MD).

• To ensure that all quality records of farm performance are maintained and be capable of analyzing and reporting conclusions drawn from these.

• To carry out any other tasks or special projects as may be requested from him by the Farm


Core Competencies/Skills & Knowledge

• Excellent knowledge of the Agriculture industry.

• Knowledge in plants, vegetables, fruits and harvesting.

• Ability to manage and run the Farm activities in all areas.

• Ability to meet targeted production and growth projections.

• Excellent knowledge in farm equipment’s and machinery.

• Ability to resolve problems or situations requiring the exercise of good judgment.

• Computer literate in Microsoft Office package.

• Ability to speak read and write English fluently. Arabic is recommended.

• Ability to operate farm machinery

• Have a proven ability in the agribusiness management field in keeping with the size and complexity of this position;

• Have the necessary planning and organizational skills to achieve targets

• Have the ability to act with tact and diplomacy in motivating and disciplining management and general

• Be able to provide role clarity and ensure teamwork amongst staff

• Be self-motivated and able to communicate effectively at all levels both within and outside the Company

• Accept the role as a manager within a corporate farming operation and work actively as a team member in developing and achieving Company objectives

• Promote and project a positive attitude towards the Company and its objectives

Be receptive to learning new technologies to help improve productivity and profitability of the farm.
